Singapore Airshow 2014

Today we visited the Singapore Airshow 2014. It must have been half of Singapore at the Changi Exhibition Centre… So many people, amazing! But not surprising, from what was there to see… In the beginning I thought we won’t stay there long, one could hardly move through the crowd, never mind getting close to any of the exhibits. But, after some time the crowed spread out over the place and we stayed right until they closed.

The show highlights where performances from Singapore’s RSAF Black Knights and from the Black Eagles aerobatic team from South Korea.

On the static display you could get close and into the cockpits of Singapore’s Air Force Birds, like the F15, F16, Apache and Chinook Helicopter, etc. One was even allowed to get into the cockpits. However, there were long cues, and at the end we decided to cue for the F15 cockpit. For us that was the highlight of the event.

In the Changi Exhibition Centre an amazing number of companies showed their newest technologies in regards to flying and defense forces. I guess if you are part of the trade, this must have been paradise…

Anyway, here are some (…) pictures. At the following link there are even more…
